Calgary Graduation Photographer | Claudia T. Photography
There’s something truly special about being asked to capture memories for people you’ve known for a very long time. It’s a mix of heartwarming and humbling all at once. And that’s exactly how I felt when Anica reached out to me for Claudia’s graduation photo session.
Anica and I have known each other since my oldest son was in the same class with her youngest daughter. I fondly remember our great conversations in her back yard as all the kids were playing on the slip and slide! After all these years, to know they trust me with such an beautiful milestone for their family is incredibly touching.
It’s been quite a while since I last blogged… I see this as a fresh start, ready to showcase some of my favourite photo sessions from the last years. Among them, Claudia’s graduation photos from 2022 certainly stand out as a highlight.
Claudia’s personality is truly eclectic: she embodies a blend of introverted chic, creative soul, and a deep passion for horses. It goes without saying that her graduation photos beautifully reflected all these aspects, capturing the essence of everything she holds dear.
We started off her photo session in a vibrant Calgary back alley renowned for its striking graffiti art. (Can you recognize the location? Let me know in the comments!) From playing the viola, to walking in a rainy drizzle and sharing laughs in between shots, the entire experience was filled with moments of connection and joy.
We also spot a huge bush of lilac, and, of course, we had to do a few shots with an editorial flair, adding an extra dimension to Claudia’s session (and who doesn’t love a good dose of lilac smell and purple look in their photos, eh?)
Afterwards, we ventured outside of Calgary to visit Claudia’s beloved horse. As a Calgary graduation photographer and mom of a soon-to-be graduate, I understand first hand the importance of capturing glimpses of personality and creating timeless keepsakes.
Claudia’s passion for horses, which ingnited when she was very young, was a crucial element to include in her graduation photos. And as a horse lover myself, I was more then happy to oblige.
