If you live in a place like Calgary, Canada, than you know that Spring only lasts 2 weeks here. Right after the Winter melt down, flowers start to bloom like mushrooms after heavy rain and in a matter of days you get the most amazing scenery of colours, birds chirping and lovely fragrances.

The family you will see today wanted to do something really special for their lifestyle family photo session, something that would immortalize the beauty of the Canadian landscape. So they decided to do 3 photo sessions in 3 unique location that would tell their story in a very unique way. The first session was Winter Wonderland – despise the cold, the family had a great time, enjoying the beautiful Rocky Mountains and drinking hot coco on the frozen Barrier Dam.

For their second family session in Spring, we chose Reader Rock Garden – a beautiful, secluded little garden in the SE part of Calgary. We walked on the narrow paths, across a little wooden bridge and we ended up at a little old house that once belonged to William Reader – a very well known plants-man that once was in charge Calgary’s gardens (in the early 1900’s). We stopped for a nice cup of tea at the little house and then continued our exploration, hardly keeping up with their youngest daughter who wanted to see every corner of the garden! Haha!
