As I pickup my camera to document the day, I remind myself that it’s not about the perfect posing, or the perfect angle, but about documenting this moment, seeing the light and capturing the best possible photo that will give me goosebumps, or make me laugh or even cry in 10 years from now. It’s so easy for a photographer to give in to the voice that nudges up to perfectly pose a person, in order to get the perfect photo that, in the end, has no substance or emotion, just a faint “wow.”
